PIANO & THEORY LESSONS
Teaching music to others is another form of art, and therefore has to be done with passion. Having gained so much experience throughout his career, qualified pianist and composer Jason Xuereb is able to combine the essential pedagogy of music together with the student's individual attention. He truly believes that every student is an individual, and therefore, a teaching method has to be formed according to the needs of each individual. Teaching skills relies so much on the ability to understand the student, and in finding the right method for the student's progress.
Jason provides pianoforte and theory tuition for young beginners ( 6 yrs and up) as well as mature students, giving a good foundation for a good start. He gives fundamental importance to three important keys in music; Tempo & rhythm, sight reading, and aural (ear) training. Students enjoy learning at their own pace and are given basic attention on hand and arm position, methods for relaxation, and better articulation and tone quality. Every one-hour lesson is performed on one-on-one basis, therefore assuring quality attention to each and every student, in a relaxing, homely environment.
Students are guided for examinations of the ABRSM (ASSOCIATED BOARD OF THE ROYAL SCHOOLS OF MUSIC).
